Hello Douglas and Pat! I just wanted to say that I think you two are going to be very lonely trying to have a chat under this particular heading! J |

Douglas, It isnt often that we agree but I wholeheartedly agree with your comments on the walk sections, I have tried to explain over the years to a TD that if thehumidity is taken into consideration at events, then we need more HALT times. An extra few minutes make all the difference to a horse, despite the all the technical rantings about lactic acid etc., they just dont want to listen to the competitors who know their horses intimately better than the statitions. ( I hope I have spelt this right !!) |

It may appear that I only criticise the Council but on this occasion I wish to thank the BHDTA Council, and our retiring Treasurer in particular, for the most encouraging Annual Accounts for 2007 This was against a background of staff resignations, Office re-location and major disruption to income from the Catton, Henbury and Windsor events. Derek’s judgement in Autumn ’06 on the major changes to the Association’s budget for Registration/Starter Fees and the new Club Affiliation fees, has been justified. The turn-around from the 2006 Budget, demonstrates that the under-takings given by the Council at the 2006 Conference have been significantly achieved. Thank you Douglas Strachan |
