Sincere thanks to those who proposed/voted for me for the Driving Personality Award, which came as a complete surprise!
I am sure I speak for all the volunteers in the sport, from the BHDTA Chairman down, when I say that the only reason we work on behalf of driving is because we love the sport and the people in it. We certainly never assume that we will receive any recognition, so it really is particularly special when someone takes the trouble to say ‘thank you’. I have to say that I have had more than my share this year, including the lovely silver photo frame presented to me at the National Championships. Many thanks to all.
P.S. It was a great evening on Saturday, thanks to the efforts of Rachel Stevens, Julie Camm and Jackie!! Some wonderful photos and film footage shown on the big screen! |

Hi Martyn
As far as I can remember Jill Holah won the sports personality, Zoe and Wilf and Ashfields won the best event and Jack in the Box won the supplier. If I am wrong I apologise as I had a little too much to drink by then. It was a really good do, it was such as shame it was so poorly supported for the points league presentation. Thanks to Mark & Jo Broadbent for their lovely rosettes. |
