It is very sad that after someone has put in so much work and effort in organising such an event that yet again NO entries were received, what is happening this year? people all ring up for schedules and say they are entering but we don't actually see their entry or cheque which forces organisers to pull the plug which is sad for the sport, the supporters and the landowners who very often give freely their venue for Club activities! I know many people will say that they still have a couple of weeks to go before closing date, but with the hire of port-a-loos, St Johns, radios and various other required elements to run events organisers pockets are not that deep if no-one actually turns up on the day who is left to pay? I congratulate Martyn & his team for trying and hope that next year things will be better for all event organisers, sleepless nights worrying about costs takes the toll on all of us eventually! |

It is with great regret but due to a total lack of entries recieved todate I have been forced into making the decision that the event is CANCELLED. Many thanks to all the helpers and offers but I have NO confidance that the event would break even. Maybe something else next year. |
