If you want a pre-National run, come and compete at Midlands Carriagedriving's event at Catton (see following thread from Ruth Auton). The club regularly has its seasonal opener at the venue and the marathon course is adjusted accordingly. |

The team at Catton have become aware that some competitors are concerned about the possible severity of the marathon at Catton in May, as the summer event is often rated as one of the toughest on the circuit. Please be assured that we are very mindful of the fact that it is the first event of the season, and every effort will be made to reduce the amount of hill work if it is at all possible. We have already publicised the fact that the obstacle on the steep slope will not be part of the course at this event. In return competitors are asked to please enter in good time and not leave it until the last minute.....! Please note that all events accept post-dated cheques, so there is really no reason to delay entering, and it is of enormous help to organisers with timings, judges etc. if they have an idea of numbers in good time. |
