I've had a carriage transported by Gillies of Kelso. can't remember the price but I think it was less than 500.

If you are not in any huge hurry, I might be delivering a carriage from Scotland to the South fairly soon, and could maybe bring yours back.

I hired a van and drove from Durham to Devon to collect mine- we were quoted £500 to transport it alongside horses so we hired a Mercedes sprinter, at about £100 for 24 hours, drove down the night before and added a travel lodge at about £40, fuel was approx £150 and we were back in time to drop the van off at enterprise within 24 hrs :-) we took ramps, ratchet straps and a winch with us.

Any ideas for shipping a 4 wheel carriage up from South of England to Central Scotland. Have been quoted £500 plus vat which seems a lot. Most othe folk want it on a pallet, not suitable. So any ideas to get it up the road at a reasonable price ? Who have you all used in the past ?
