As the husband of Pat, the Secretary of the EACDG for many years before me, Ian Goodrum inevitably did an enormous amount of work for the club. Those were the days when the whole committee was to be found knocking in obstacle posts on Thursday night for an event at the weekend. He always worked unstintingly, quietly, usually behind the scenes, practical, setting up and taking down, and knowledgeable about the sport and events. Recently he and Pat were usually running the cones arena - no small task - and they enjoyed being back on the scene, also stewarding, often with the help of their daughter Anna. Ian was one of the mainstays of the EACDG and he shall be sadly missed. | ||

Ian Goodrum's funeral will be on Monday 5th January at 4.30pm at Bury crematorium. | ||

Very sadly Our wonderfull cones steward Ian Goodrum passed away on Friday 19 th December Ian and his wife Pat were big club supporters and very dedicated stewards and iam sure you will join us the committee in sending our condolences to Pat and their family . |
